MacBook Contest Winner Announced

Jennifer Gosselin of Vermont - our lucky MacBook contest winner - is happy to report that she recently landed a job with a former employer. Back when she was actively looking for work, Gosselin used JobsInVT.com daily, performing job searches by county.

"We didn't have a computer in the house and we've always wanted a laptop. It was so nice to win this, especially right before the Christmas holiday!" Jennifer said.

Gosselin said she really appreciated how easy the site was to use and how quickly she could see all of the jobs listed in her county. She stated she also liked the fact that many employers would keep job information on the site for more than just a few days or a few weeks which allowed her to look back at jobs she had previously applied to, for quick reference.

JobsInMS.com attends Career Day at "Ole Miss"

Deb Harmon and Nancy Chism of JobsInMS.com attended the University of Mississippi Career Day in Oxford on October 2. This was the second time JobsInMS.com has attended an Ole Miss Career day. Many of the 400 Job Seekers in attendance were current students that are near the end of their degree program. Many in attendance commented that they appreciate the JobsInMS.com format and trusted content for job searches. Deb Harmon and Nancy Chism assisted the job seekers, current students and alumni with tips on posting their resume, registering for the Career Agent search program and using advanced search features to locate and apply for jobs online. The presence of JobsInMS.com was appreciated by all those in attendance at Ole Miss.

JobsInMS.com Co-Sponsors Mississippi State SHRM Conferance

JobsInMS.com was happy to be a co-sponsor of the 2008 Mississippi Society of Human Resource Management Annual Conference. This year's SHRM conference was held April 23rd-25th on the campus of Southern Mississippi University and was well attended by HR professionals throughout the state.

Attending the event this year from JobsInMS.com were Geraldlyn Brady, Outreach and Education Consultant, and Patrick Erb, Field Operations Manager.
